Oleg Grinfeld started his musical career in his home city of Chelyabinsk, Russia, where during his studies in a musical school he became a winner of a regional guitar competition. Later he studied at the Chelyabinsk Academy of Arts (directing, arranging and performance). After his arrival to Israel Oleg continued his studies with professor Yehuda Shryer. Oleg Grinfeld graduated from Tel Aviv University, Music Department, Guitar Performance.
During 10 years of his pedagogical practice in Beer Sheba City Conservatory his students won various competitions; the guitar ensemble under his guidance performed on various concerts.
Since 2002 and up to his departure to Canada in 2005 Oleg participted in a unique project "Playing School" under supervision of the Ministry of Education of Israel where his work as a group instructor and arranger was highly estimated.
As a performer Oleg participated in a pedagogical project "Keren Karev" (2000-2003) - concerts tours for children where Oleg played with many talented musicians - flutists, violinists and xylophonists.
Oleg Grinfeld is a professional guitarist and educator with over 20 years of rich pedagogical experience. His students successfully perform in concerts and festivals as soloists and in ensembles; receive the highest marks in examinations at McGill Conservatory and Royal Conservatory of Music.
Oleg Grinfeld is well known as an author of many transcriptions and arrangements both for solo guitar and guitar ensembles..
